Privacy Policy
LineScore Prep is an independent study application operated by LineScore Prep (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect and what you can do about it.
Our commitments
- Core preparation is free.
- We never sell your personal information.
- We do not generate or sell recruiter leads. No branch, recruiter, or recruiting contractor receives your details from us.
- If we ever introduce advertising, it will be contextual only—based on the page you are viewing, never on tracking your behavior across the internet.
What we collect
- A display name you choose, and a system-generated recovery code stored only as a cryptographic hash.
- Your study data: practice answers, subtest results, estimated AFQT and composite scores, target scores you set, study time, and notes.
- Your settings.
- Anything you send through the feedback or contact form.
- Standard server and security logs from our hosting provider, including IP address and browser type, used to run the service and block abuse.
We do not ask for your legal name, address, date of birth, phone number, Social Security number, service component, unit, or any military identifier. We do not require an email address.
What we use it for
Saving and restoring your progress, calculating your estimated scores, showing your history, keeping the service secure, fixing errors, and replying to you.
Cookies and storage
We use local browser storage for essential functions only—keeping you signed in and remembering your settings. If we add analytics, we will update this policy first and use a configuration that does not track you across other sites.
Users under 18
Many people preparing for the ASVAB are 16 or 17. LineScore Prep is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, review this policy with a parent or guardian. Because we require no identifying information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors beyond the study data above.
Your recovery code
It is the only way to restore progress on a new device. We store it as a hash and cannot recover it for you. Save it when it is shown.
Your choices
See your data in the app; export or delete it by writing to support@linescoreprep.com; edit your display name, targets, notes, and settings directly. We honor access and deletion requests from anyone, anywhere.
Security
Credentials are stored as salted hashes, with HTTPS throughout and rate limiting against code guessing. No system is perfectly secure. Do not store sensitive personal information in your notes.
Where data is held
LineScore Prep is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure and data may be processed across multiple countries. If you are stationed or living overseas, your data may be processed outside that country.
